Sayers Croft Update

Thursday Evening Update

The children have had a great day. The sun has shone and a wide variety of activities have been enjoyed. They investigated the woodlands and were amazed by the wide variety of birds and insects that they were able to find. Ballistas were built and fired (some more successfully than others!) Caves have been explored and we have travelled back in time to Prehistory, handling artefacts including a horn that many of the children were able to raise an impressive sound from.

The day ended around the campfire with the children singing songs. The skies were clear tonight and we were able to see many of the stars and identify some constellations. The children returned to their dormitories, tired but happy, for hot chocolate and a story before settling down for a good night's sleep.
