Cultural Capital does not just relate to British 'high' culture. It includes experiences, art and knowledge from a variety of cultures and popular culture (e.g. Indian dance or Nigerian cooking).

 

Cultural Capital is not about knowing who, for example, the famous British artist John Constable is, but it is about giving children the opportunity to visit galleries and museums to experience a wide range of artists.

 

Ofsted Chief inspector Amanda Spielman called Cultural Capital “a golden thread, woven through everything you do to teach children well”.

 

Here at Hampton Hill Junior School we offer our children different forms of cultural capital experiences throughout our curriculum and our enrichment activities over the academic year.
