Intent Statement

At HHJS we are committed to fostering an enthusiasm for foreign language in children, encompassing the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.  We also look to develop an awareness of the culture and countries where French is spoken around the world.  Through a variety of songs, stories, rhymes and games we hope to develop the essential language learning skills which the children can take forward into their secondary school and beyond to be applied to any language they may study in the future.   It is our intention that all children will achieve the Lingua Bronze Award for French and that most will achieve all or part of the Silver Award.
