Year 4 - Let's Go Fly a Kite!

This week Year 4 have been designing and making kites! They began by watching videos and then making a plan of their design. They were able to choose between a diamond or a delta kite design.

On Friday they had a great day making their kites in the morning using plastic bags, wooden sticks, scissors, masking tape, string and tissue paper.

In the afternoon they walked over to The Rec and tested their kites by running up and down the field. It was a great project to be part of and was given an 11/10 by the children!

Also this week...

Our learning behaviour was Determination and recognising that making a mistake is part of learning.

Our language of the week was Sinhala from the country Srilanka.

Our word of the week was Billow - when something made of cloth billows, it swells out and moves slowly in the wind. When smoke or clouds billow, they move slowly upwards or across the sky.
