(Takes just a few seconds.)

The new Art & Design Centre has been built in the area of the playground, where the sheds used to be. It provides a 70sq. metre, purpose built facility for Art & Technology, with two courtyards for outdoor work and “big art” and computer facilities to link ICT with Art & Design.

There are new storage facilities for the School Association and the whole building is linked to the main building by a covered walkway. The building provides superb facilities for both curricular and extra curricular work, the breakfast club and is available for Community use outside the school day.

We already have a number of clubs and societies who have shown real interest in using the new centre and we aim for Hampton Hill Junior School to have an even more significant role within the community.

The second part of the project was to completely redecorate, carpet and refurbish the twelve classrooms, since we will not be undertaking “wet art” in those rooms. The carpets and new furniture has significantly improved the whole school environment and allowed us to make much better use of the space that we have.

We raised funds for this new development through grants and our Ebay site and other fundraising exploits, donations and activities.
